3 Foot Ninja at The Junction, York on Friday 22 May 2009

3 Foot Ninja play for the Guardian Angels at the Junction, York

This young indie-punk trio, based in the wilds of the North York Moors, have risen to astonishing prominence over the past year or so. They’ve opened for the Subways, British Sea Power, Pete and the Pirates, Airborne Toxic Event, Super Furry Animals and General Fiasco and played all major venues in the Northeast of England in addition to touring further afield to Birmingham Barfly, London’s Dublin Castle, Leeds Cockpit, Manchester Arena….
In 2008 they won the national Youth Music Week competition and were named by industry bible, CMU daily, after a survey of all bands in the UK and Eire, as “one’s to watch in 2009”.

And all this despite their youth – lead singer / guitarist Jordan Bell is 16. To hear 3 Foot Ninja tracks go to www.myspace.com/3footninja

Renowned for their high-energy shows and total professionalism this gig is not to be missed.

Support acts are, from Durham, Front Room Antics, and local outfits Euphoria Audio and Electrify Me.
The night is in support of Guardian Angels, a charity organized to ensure the care of seriously ill young children at York Hospital, and for York Hospital Radio.
